Cyclamen Hardy Mix hederifolium/coum

Hardy Cyclamen

Cyclamen hederifolium. Attractively mottled gray-green fall foliage with pointy edges give rise to pink or white flowers with reflexed petals in October to December. Foliage is very attractive and variable. It may be all silver or any variation of green and silver. Summer Dormant. Blooms earlier than C. coum.

Mix may include Cyclamen coum. Dark green, 2" rounded foliage may have silver patterns. Small flowers with reflexed petals in white, pink or carmine appear with the leaves in midwinter. Stays green through winter, but is summer dormant.

Prefer light shade and moist, well drained soil that is dryish in summer when plants are dormant. Suitable for dry shade locations. Bulbous plants, they will self sow where happy. Plant with the bulb at surface level. Allow spent blooms to remain if you wish to have these spread.
